Paulie Malignaggi had accepted to be the sparring partner during McGregor training leading op to the mega fight upon Floyd Mayweather Jr. this 26th august on T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas. Paul Malignaggi has performed two sessions of sparring through McGregor’s training camp. However, recently, Malignaggi has quit and left the camp for several controversial reasons.
Malignaggi says that things began to go bad immediately since he took his step in Las Vegas. His living conditions are somehow not concerned by the McGregor management. He was put in an inappropriate house. He decided to ignore it as he intentionally came to help McGregor’s training.
However, the peak of this dispute was happened during the sparring session, especially the second one. One of the biggest humiliations is when McGregor pushed Malignaggi to the ring ground. These poses were photographed and immediately shared on social media. It’s pragmatically uploaded to show that McGregor knocked Malignaggi out. Malignaggi can’t stand this humiliation anymore, so he proceeded to leave McGregor’s camp.
Malignaggi said, “This guy is one of the biggest dirtbags I’ve ever met in my life – bar none, …I was amazed at what a dirtbag this person is. I don’t care if we never speak again. My life is fine if I never see Conor McGregor again.” These bad words are representing his anger and disappointment. There are some time span between the photos spreading and his full review of second sparring session.
However, Malignaggi has professionally reviewed McGregor’s improvement during the last sparring session. He said that McGregor has shown some improvement in the first five sparring rounds. But in the sixth and seventh, McGregor has been more hittable, tired, and started to trash talks. Malignaggi argued that McGregor tent to be out of fight when he was tired. When Malignaggi try to push the sparring atmosphere, McGregor push him down to the canvas unprofessionally. That’s what happened.
Malignaggi said that won’t release any information about McGregor’s game plan or strategies. However, He thinks that this mega fight could be a circus based on the recent development. Malignaggi reviewed McGregor weaknesses on taking body punches, defenses, stamina and arrogance. Malignaggi also doesn’t want the last sparring video released at the first places, but he challenge McGregor to upload full videos and footages that can show what really happened.
In the end, Malignaggi gives McGregor his best wishes. He thanked to be involved in this mega event and believes that McGregor indeed has mutual respect in the real fight against Mayweather. Get more info here about Conor McGregor Fight
